Garòs is a town in the Catalan Pyrenees, it is who receives us on the Alto Aran route in the Valle d’Aran. It is located on the right slope of the Garonne, between the Cal and Solida ravines, at an altitude of 1,115 m. This mountain town barely has 100 inhabitants, and this is one of its great attractions.
And it is that Garòs offers heritage and nature tourism to those who want to get away from the large crowds and crowds. There is no better delight than getting lost among its streets and discovering the typical architecture of the area. Also noteworthy in this town is its parish church of San Julián, built in the 12th century, although it was reformed in the 15th century, mixing Romanesque and Gothic elements. The most interesting thing about this temple is found inside, where we are greeted by a beautiful carved Christ, a Gothic image of the Virgin and a silver processional cross.
